  1. Where did you go to school, what degree to you have?

I attended Florida State University and earned my B.S. degree from the College of Human Sciences and my M.S. degree from the college of Education. I am currently pursuing my Doctoral Degree at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Educational Leadership.

  1. 10 years ago or x number of years ago,  when someone said, where do you see yourself, is this where you saw it?

I saw myself owning my own Fitness Gym and Tropical Smoothie.  logo_old

However, after working with first-generation students every summer of my college career I changed my mind.  I realized that I have a passion for student access and success and would like to contribute to this component of education in any way possible.

  1. What do you miss about your former position and what do you look forward to as the Director of Advising First?

What I look forward to in my current capacity is the opportunity to make an impact on student success from a leadership level working with Deans, Faculty, Directors, as well as with advisors and coaches.  Learning, training, and creating advising/coaching models and techniques that improve retention and graduation efforts for all students at FSU is extremely fulfilling.

What I miss about my former position is the ability to visit weekly with local middle and high school student to discuss college life and the resources FSU has to offer all students.
